she said "the little girl who was once afraid to walk down to the candy store by herself, is now moving to England alone."
when i was little i would spend weeks at a time at my grandmas house, it is was and still is my second home. At the bottom of their street, down a big hill there is a candy shop. I always wanted to go but never wanted to walk down the street by myself. They live in a friendly neighborhood and there was really nothing to be afraid of but i was always scared! i would only go if someone went with me, or when i got a little braver, i would go if my grandma stood at the end of her lawn and watched me walk all the way down.
When she said that i realized how much i have grown, it probably is just what comes with age and maturity but still it is crazy how fast we seem to grow. Even just the 4 years of highschool, I no longer am a shy little girl that was afraid to talk in a classroom if her life depended on it, not sure of exactly who i was, just trying to get through. I now am willing to go and do. I know who God has made me and even if i don't know the plans He has in store that's alright, He has made me into someone who is pretty confident and extremely happy. And also moving across the ocean!
This weekend was probably the last time i will get to stay at my second home... when i get back my grandparents will most likely have moved into a smaller house(thats what their plans are). It was weird saying goodbye to the one place that i have known my whole life, longer than anyother house my family has lived in. Needless to say it was sad driving down that hill passing the candyshop for the last time.
